To ensure a focused and high-quality recruitment process, Shire & Wold Staffing operates with an Engagement Deposit.

The Engagement Deposit is a small percentage of the agreed final fee, paid at the outset of a search. It confirms a client’s intent to proceed and allows us to dedicate senior time, resources and expertise from day one.

Importantly, this is not a traditional retainer.

  • It does not require exclusivity
  • It does not limit a client’s choice
  • It is refundable if we do not deliver

Private household recruitment requires discretion, depth and commitment. The Engagement Deposit enables us to run a thorough and proactive search, invest properly in candidate sourcing and screening, and ensure the process remains ethical and considered for all parties.

Refund Assurance

Should we be unable to deliver suitable candidates in line with the agreed brief and as outlined in our Terms of Business, the Engagement Deposit is fully refundable. This ensures fairness and accountability, and reflects our confidence in the service we provide.

From January 2026, the Engagement Deposit forms part of our standard terms of business. This approach supports a partnership-led recruitment process and consistently stronger outcomes for both clients and candidates.
