Our client, an exclusive estate in Oxfordshire, is searching for Under Butlers. We are searching for traditionally trained Butlers with a passion for excellence in formal service. The successful candidates will join a fully staffed household, ensuring the highest standards are met in every aspect of service.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing formal and informal traditional Butler service
• Overseeing table settings and ensuring flawless presentation
• Wardrobe management, including packing/unpacking for travel
• Maintaining inventories for silverware, wine cellars, and Butler pantries
• Assisting with planning and executing social events
• Caring for silverware, porcelain, and crystal using expert techniques
• Upholding discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Proven experience in high-end formal service or luxury hospitality
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
• Polished presentation and strong interpersonal skills
• Formal Butler training or certification is preferred
• Ability to anticipate the needs of principals and guests
• Valid driving licence due to the rural location
We are welcoming applications from experienced professionals in private households or luxury 5-star hotels, as well as candidates who have recently completed formal Butler training and are ready to begin their careers.
Additional Details:
Location: Oxfordshire (live-in or live-out options available).
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday with weekend availability.
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 gross per annum dependent on experience
