Temporary Housekeeper, Berkshire UK

Shire & Wold Staffing is seeking an experienced, reliable and proactive Temporary Housekeeper to support a private family of five at their home in Berkshire.

This is a lovely short-term opportunity for a professional housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys working within a busy family household.

The family are looking for someone who can confidently manage general housekeeping duties, ensuring the home remains clean, tidy, organised and beautifully presented throughout the booking.

Duties outlined not limited to :

• Daily cleaning and general housekeeping throughout the family home.
• Making beds, changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms.
• Laundry, ironing, folding and putting away clothing.
• Keeping bathrooms, kitchens and living areas clean and organised.
• Maintaining a high standard of presentation throughout the property.
• General household tidying and organisation.
• Assisting with additional housekeeping tasks as required.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working as a housekeeper within a private household.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Proactive, trustworthy and able to work independently.
• Friendly, discreet and professional.
• Comfortable working within a family home.
• Reliable and available for the required dates.
• Excellent references.

Working Arrangements

Dates: Monday 23rd November – Monday 30th November 2026.

The booking can be arranged in one of two ways:

• Option 1: Work all 8 consecutive days.
• Option 2: Work 6 days within the booking period, with 2 days off to be agreed with the family.

Hourly Rate: £23 per hour.
