Temporary Butler, Mayfair

We are representing a private client seeking a highly polished and experienced Temporary Butler to join a well-established, fully staffed household.

This is a short-term assignment within a high-functioning UHNW environment, where service standards are expected to be seamless, intuitive, and delivered with absolute discretion.

Household Overview

• Fully staffed private household (Butlers, Chefs, Housekeepers)
• Family of four (2 adults, 2 children)
• Informal in style, but with exceptionally high service expectations

The Role

This is a hands-on front-of-house position, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household.

You will be expected to anticipate needs, deliver refined service, and integrate effortlessly within an established team.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming and hosting guests with confidence and discretion
• Food and beverage service to a high standard
• Anticipating and responding to the family’s day-to-day requirements
• Supporting with errands and ad hoc requests
• Valeting duties and wardrobe support
• Care and maintenance of fine items (silver, crystal, china)

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates:

• Proven experience within a private household environment (essential)
• A calm, composed and service-led approach
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Excellent communication skills
• A flexible mindset and ability to adapt to changing schedules
• Confidence working within a team of established staff

Additional advantages:

• Yachting or high-end hospitality background
• Driving licence (preferred for logistics between residences) 

Location: Mayfair, London & Surrey

Contract: Temporary (approx. 3 months)

Start: Immediate / June 2026

Schedule: 5–6 days per week, rota-based

Hours: Approx. 9-hour shifts (with flexibility required)

Salary: Circa £300 gross per day

Accommodation: Live-out
