Rota Nanny, Europe

A warm, proactive, and development-focused Rota Nanny is sought by an international family based in Europe to care for three energetic and curious boys (age 3, 5 and 7). Working in close collaboration with the parents and household staff (including a House Manager/PA and private chef), you’ll ensure a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment across both school terms and holidays.

This is a long-term role suited to a professional nanny with experience in rota roles and/or high-profile households who is confident managing multiple children, maintaining routines, and supporting the family’s lifestyle, including travel.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily routines: school drop-offs/pick-ups, after-school care, bedtime, and morning routines
  • Support with homework and educational follow-up; liaise with teachers and schools
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities: outdoor play, sports, creative projects, reading, etc.
  • Organise appointments and accompany children to doctor visits when necessary
  • Coordinate healthy meals/snacks in collaboration with the family chef; manage any dietary needs
  • Maintain children’s spaces and wardrobes; pack/unpack for school, activities, and travel
  • Provide confident and caring proxy parenting, including travel with the family as required
  • Maintain daily logs and ensure smooth handovers between rota shifts

Schedule & Working Conditions

  • Rota Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off (live-in while on duty)
  • Flexibility for occasional changes or extended travel with the family
  • Appropriate rest breaks and downtime included during on-duty weeks
  • Travel during holidays and international trips may be required

Candidate Profile

  • Fluent in English and French (essential for school and daily life)
  • 5+ years of professional nanny experience, ideally in rotational, HNW, or expat households
  • Warm, energetic, and child-focused; sets clear and kind boundaries
  • Highly organised, discreet, and confident working as part of a staffed household team
  • Comfortable using technology for communication, scheduling, and school platforms
  • Holds a valid Paediatric First Aid / CPR certification
