We are seeking an experienced and reliable Housekeeper to help
maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming home in London. The
ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible, and capable of
handling a variety of household tasks with a high level of
attention to detail. Proven experience as a Housekeeper in a
similar role. Ability to cook simple and nutritious meals.
Comfortable with pets and capable of pet care duties. Highly
organised and proactive with attention to detail. Local to the
area or within an easy commute (parking is not available).
Non-driver role, but familiarity with local errands and services
is beneficial.
Duties outline but not limited to:
* Daily tidying and cleaning, including vacuuming and making
beds.
* Deep cleaning over the week, including behind furniture and in
corners.
* Cooking: Preparing a nutritious one-course meal for supper for
four people.
* Laundry & Ironing: Washing, folding, and ironing clothes and
linens.
* Pet Care: Feeding two cats and a friendly cavapoo dog.
* Walking the dog and maintaining a clean area for the cats.
* Shopping & Deliveries: Overseeing Ocado grocery deliveries.
* Running local errands, such as returning items to shops,
posting parcels, or handling dry cleaning.
* Managing and coordinating visits from handymen, builders, or
other contractors.
* Only allowing visitors pre-approved by the homeowner.
* Maintaining small household tasks, such as polishing silver,
mending items, and sorting recycling.
* Taking care of coffee and tea machines, bins, and other routine
tasks.
Hours: 30-35 hours per week Preferred schedule: 3-4 days per
week, including Monday and Friday (flexible on exact days). Core
working hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (flexibility possible). Open to
a 5-day schedule with fewer hours per day if preferred.
Annual Leave: 4 weeks pro-rata plus bank holidays (e.g., 16 days
if working 4 days per week). Opportunity to work in a warm and
welcoming household with flexibility around scheduling.
Salary: £18 net per hour (dependent on experience)
