We are delighted to be assisting a valued client in their search for an experienced and highly proactive Housekeeper to care for their newly renovated home in Notting Hill. The household is made up of two adults and their teenage children (aged 14 and 16). While the family owns dogs, they will not be present at the London residence. The home has a relaxed, informal atmosphere, but the family holds high standards for cleanliness and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day housekeeping of the property, delivering outstanding results with a keen eye for detail.
- Perform regular cleaning duties, as well as periodic deep cleans, ensuring the home is consistently tidy and well-maintained.
- Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, and all living areas to a pristine standard.
- Handle all family laundry and ironing with care and efficiency.
- Run errands and assist with household organisation as required.
- Monitor pantry supplies, keeping stock levels replenished and well-organised.
- Support with light cooking or food prep as needed—this is a minor part of the role.
- Ensure the home is secure at all times by checking locks, windows, and alarm systems.
- Liaise with and oversee tradespeople or contractors, ensuring work is carried out to a high standard and the property remains respected and secure.

- Demonstrated experience in private household settings is essential.
- Able to work independently while maintaining high standards without supervision.

- Comfortable being around teenagers.

Role Overview:

Location: Notting Hill (Nearest stations: Notting Hill Gate / Westbourne Park)

Property: 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home over five floors

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–2pm, with flexibility for additional hours when the family is in residence or hosting

Salary: £20–£25 gross per hour, based on experience

Additional Info: The family’s primary residence is in Oxfordshire. They plan to spend 1–2 days per week at their new Kensington home.
