Live-out Nanny

A warm, down-to-earth family based near Tetbury, Gloucestershire, is looking for an experienced Live-out Nanny to join their household as an essential source of support during an exciting time of growth. The couple, who are both hands-on and run their own business, are expecting their second child in the autumn and are seeking a capable and proactive nanny to help maintain stability and ensure their home runs smoothly.

Their delightful 2.5-year-old daughter currently attends nursery full-time, so the primary focus of the role will be on the newborn. The role is largely shared care, with occasional sole charge and proxy parenting when the parents are attending work or other commitments.

The family also has a friendly dog, so the ideal candidate will be pet-friendly and comfortable in a relaxed, informal family home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive care for the newborn, including feeding, changing, dressing, and supporting nap/bedtime routines
  • Offer occasional support with the toddler as needed
  • Assist with meal preparation, particularly weaning and healthy meals for the children
  • Clean and sterilise bottles and manage feeding equipment
  • Organise and launder the children’s clothes and ensure their rooms are tidy
  • Plan and engage in stimulating, age-appropriate activities
  • Occasionally run errands or grocery shop for children’s supplies
  • Maintain a supportive, hands-on approach with a can-do attitude

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience with newborns and young children
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiative and work independently
  • Discreet, respectful of family life and boundaries
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential (rural location)
  • Pet-friendly
  • Flexibility for occasional pre-arranged weekend or overnight support (voluntary and not essential)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 7:30pm, some flexibility with timings

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (please include your expectations when applying)

Start date: Mid-October 2025

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a genuine, appreciative family in a beautiful countryside setting. If you are nurturing, reliable, and seeking a long-term role where you can really make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
