Live-out Housekeeper, Faringdon Oxfordshire

A lovely warm and informal family based near Faringdon, Oxfordshire, are looking for an experienced and proactive Housekeeper to become an integral part of their family life and provide day-to-day household support. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a relaxed, family-focused environment and is happy to support where needed. The household is a beautiful, calm family home with two young children aged 2 and 8 years old, along with two cats. The property itself is full of character, featuring beautiful wooden floors and natural beams, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The family are looking for someone who is personable, dependable, hands-on, and genuinely enjoys being part of a nurturing family setting. Family cooking is highly desirable, as this would help support the day-to-day rhythm of a busy but loving home with young children. The ideal candidate will be warm, organised, flexible, and happy to fit into the family’s lifestyle while helping the household run smoothly.

Duties outlined but not limited to:

• General housekeeping and household organisation
• Laundry management (washing, drying, folding, ironing, and putting away)
• Tidying and maintaining family spaces
• Helping with household support and errands where required
• Supporting with day-to-day household needs
• Weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
• Being a calm, supportive presence around the children and family routine
• Supporting with children’s school crossovers and the school run in the mornings when needed
• Meal preparation or batch cooking family meals
• Being comfortable around pets

Hours: Hours are negotiable, 37–40 hours per week, with an ideal 8:00am start to support the school run and morning routine with the children.

Salary: £38,500 – £40,000
