We are seeking an experienced and conscientious Housekeeper to join our dedicated team at a private estate. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a team of nine to ensure that all areas of the residence and associated buildings are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, order, and presentation.
You will take pride in your work, show great attention to detail, and demonstrate discretion and professionalism at all times. Flexibility is essential to accommodate the changing needs of the estate and its residents.
Duties outlined but not limited to :
- Carry out daily cleaning and housekeeping duties across the main house and outbuildings.
- Maintain immaculate standards in all rooms, including guest suites, reception areas, and staff quarters.
- Handle fine furnishings, antiques, and delicate surfaces with appropriate care and attention.
- Manage linen changes, laundry, and wardrobe care as required.
- ·Assist with seasonal deep cleans and estate changeovers.
- ·Ensure all cleaning materials and equipment are maintained and stored safely.
- ·Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- ·Support estate events and functions with room preparation and service assistance as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- ·Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Essential:
- Proven experience in private household or estate housekeeping.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation.
- A proactive, adaptable, and team-focused attitude.
- Discretion and respect for the privacy of principals and guests.
- Reliability and flexibility, including occasional weekend or evening work as required.
- Ability to manage workload efficiently within a team structure.
- Desirable:
- Experience caring for fine fabrics, antiques, and specialist finishes.
- Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning methods and materials.
- Full UK driving licence.
Location: Private Estate – Burford
Salary: £35,000 -£40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Every other weekend off (some flexibility required)
Team: Working as part of a team of 9 housekeepers
