A prestigious UHNW private household is seeking an exceptional Head Housekeeper to lead and maintain the highest standards across the residence. This is a genuinely hands-on position for someone who combines natural leadership with an immaculate eye for detail.
The successful candidate will instinctively notice what needs attention, anticipate requirements and resolve issues before they ever reach the principals. The household is looking for five-star luxury hotel / world-class private household standards – someone polished, composed and highly capable who makes an exceptionally well-run home appear effortless.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for housekeeping standards throughout the residence
- Lead, mentor and nurture the housekeeping team
- Work hands-on alongside the team rather than managing from a distance
- Ensure exceptional presentation of all rooms and guest areas at all times
- Establish and maintain rigorous housekeeping procedures and standards
- Oversee laundry, wardrobe care and the treatment of fine fabrics
- Ensure the correct care of high-value furniture, artwork, marble, wood and delicate finishes
- Conduct regular checks and identify maintenance or presentation issues proactively
- Liaise seamlessly with other household departments and senior staff
- Support preparations for guests, dinners and entertaining
- Manage supplies, inventories and household products
- Create a positive, professional and high-performing team environment

- Exceptional UHNW private household and/or leading five-star luxury hotel experience
- Immaculate personal presentation and outstanding attention to detail
- Warm but appropriately discreet, with absolute professionalism
- Naturally proactive, solutions-focused and highly organised
- A hands-on leader who mentors, develops and supports their team
- Calm and unflappable in a demanding UHNW environment
- Excellent longevity in previous positions and strong references

Salary: £75,000–£100,000 gross per annum
