Live-in Part- time Housekeeper/Companion

We are looking for a kind, experienced, and proactive Companion/Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming household based near Chipping Norton. This is a part-time 6 months initial contract (3 days and 3 nights), live-in role with a unique companion element — supporting the principal’s elderly mother (94 years old). This would suit someone with a caring nature, possibly from a background in companionship, caring, nursing, or private support work.

You will work alongside an existing Housekeeper/Companion in a rota-style setup, offering additional support and cover, especially when the principals are away. This is a lovely opportunity to become part of a respectful and supportive home in the heart of the Cotswolds. The role would suit someone looking for a long-term position with variety, companionship, and structure.

Duties Outlined but not limited to :

• Hands-on housekeeping: cleaning, tidying, and maintaining high standards throughout the home
• Laundry and wardrobe management, including delicate fabrics and ironing
• Running errands and managing household supplies for elderly individual
• Providing companionship and general assistance to the elderly mother 
• Cooking elderly mother nutritious meals
• Driving elderly mother as and when required
• Assisting with household organisation and communication with external contractors if needed
• Warm, trustworthy, and naturally caring
• Background in private households, ideally with some companion/caring experience
• Happy working collaboratively and independently
• Flexible, proactive, and discreet
• Fluent English
• Must have an enhanced DBS and a full, clean UK driving licence, excellent spoken english

Location: Near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire

Salary: £25,000 +

Accommodation: En-suite bedroom within elderly mothers house (live-in)

Schedule: Thursday 9am – Sunday 9am and Holiday cover 6 Month Contract
