Our client, prestigious private estate in the heart of the Cotswolds, is seeking an experienced and highly professional hands on House Manager to provide formal service and all-round household support. This role is open to a live-in or live-out arrangement, and requires an individual with excellent attention to detail and a proactive, flexible approach to all duties.
Duties outlined, but not limited to:
- Household Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the estate, managing the housekeeping team, ensuring all household systems run smoothly and efficiently.
- Event Planning & Execution: Assist with the planning, coordination, and hosting of events and gatherings, including liaising with external service providers and managing guest requirements.
- Cooking: Preparation of family friendly meals – a Chef is bought in for parties.
- Informal Service: Provide professional dining service, including setting and clearing tables, serving meals and drinks.
- Valet Duties: Assist with packing, unpacking, and care of the principals’ wardrobe, including shoes and accessories.
- Guest Care: Welcome and host guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Security Awareness: Monitor the security of the estate, reporting any issues to the principal or the estate manager.
- General Support: Perform ad hoc duties, such as running errands, must like dogs as you will be required to look after on occasions.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a private household or luxury hospitality environment.
- Skills: Excellent organisational and communication skills; ability to manage and supervise household staff.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the family’s needs.
- Professionalism: Discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail are essential. A high level of personal presentation and conduct is expected.
- Driving License: A full UK driving license is essential.
- Right to Work: Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
5 day working week with two consecutive days off (where possible depending on the family’s schedule).
Accommodation: 2-bedroom self-contained flat.
All meals provided while on duty.
Use of a vehicle for work-related tasks.
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 DOE.
