A warm and welcoming expat family of four based in Abu Dhabi is looking for their first professional Nanny to join them on a long-term basis. The family has a 3-year-old who attends a Montessori nursery and a newborn baby. The Nanny will primarily focus on the care, development, and daily routine of the 3-year-old, while offering occasional assistance with the baby when needed.
This is a fun, relaxed, and down-to-earth household, and the family is seeking a Nanny who can bring positivity, structure, and professionalism to support them during this exciting transition from one child to two.
This is a full-time role, working 5 days per week, 7am–7pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full care for the 3-year-old, creating a nurturing, stimulating, and educational environment.
- Encourage learning through play, early language skills, and age-appropriate educational activities.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and good manners.
- Assist with daily routines, including activity planning, scheduling, and menu preparation.
- Drive the child to nursery and extracurricular activities (a valid driving licence is essential).
- Offer occasional support to mum with the newborn as required.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the parents, who are hands-on and family-oriented.
- Communicate effectively with the household team, including the housekeeper, to ensure smooth daily operations.
Candidate Requirements
- British Nanny with proven experience in similar high-standard private household roles.
- Confident supporting early years learning, development, and social etiquette.
- Knowledge of Montessori or other child-led learning approaches is highly desirable.
- Must hold a valid driving licence and feel confident driving in the UAE.
- Warm, engaging, and energetic personality with a genuine passion for working with children.
- Organised, proactive, and able to introduce gentle structure into the family’s daily life.
- Discreet, flexible, and open to occasional travel if required.
- Available for immediate interviews – the family is currently in the UK and happy to meet UK-based candidates.
