We are looking for a dynamic, polished and highly organised Household & Lifestyle Assistant to become an integral part of a warm and welcoming private family household near Chipping Norton.
This is an exciting, varied position for a genuinely multi-skilled all-rounder who enjoys being involved across all areas of a private household. No two days will be exactly the same, and the successful candidate will work closely with the principals, providing practical day-to-day support and ensuring their homes and family life run smoothly.
This could particularly suit someone coming from a yachting, chalet, luxury hospitality or private household background who is accustomed to high standards, enjoys variety and is looking to establish themselves in a long-term land-based role.
Duties Outlined not limited to :
- Working as a trusted part of the household, your responsibilities will include:
- Wardrobe management, organisation, packing/unpacking and ensuring clothing and personal items are beautifully maintained and organised.
- Preparing fresh, relaxed family-style meals, light lunches and food preparation as required. You do not need to be a formally trained chef, but you should genuinely enjoy cooking and be confident in the kitchen.
- Helping to keep the household beautifully presented, organised and guest-ready, working alongside and supporting the wider household team.
- Maintaining excellent organisation throughout the home, including cupboards, wardrobes, household supplies and general presentation.
- Assisting with interiors and presentation, with a natural eye for detail and an appreciation for creating an inviting home.
- Acting as a host/hostess, meeting and greeting guests and helping ensure they are looked after during their stay.
- Supporting with entertaining, table presentation and informal family gatherings.
- Approximately one evening per week, providing support to the family’s 14-year-old daughter at a property in Oxford, including preparing dinner and being a responsible, reassuring presence.
- Running errands, shopping and assisting with general household requirements.
- Providing flexible support to the principals wherever needed.

- We are looking for someone who is naturally energetic, capable and proactive a person who sees what needs doing and gets on with it.
- You will ideally be:
- Experienced within a private household, yacht, chalet or luxury hospitality environment.
- An excellent all-rounder who enjoys variety rather than being restricted to one particular area.
- Confident with family-style cooking and food preparation.
- Highly organised with a real flair for wardrobe management, presentation and organisation.
- Warm, personable and comfortable welcoming and looking after guests.
- Discreet and professional while also being approachable and down-to-earth.
- Someone with a fantastic eye for detail who takes pride in creating a beautifully presented home.
- Active and happy working in a role where you are on the go.
- Flexible and willing to support the family as their requirements change.
- Confident working independently while also being a strong team player.
- A confident driver with a full driving licence – essential.
