We are seeking an experienced and professional live-in Housekeeper to join a beautifully presented private family household in North Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail, take pride in their work, and be able to maintain the home to the highest standards. Alongside professionalism and discretion, we are looking for someone warm, personable, and happy to work within a family environment.
The family has three children and a small, supportive household team including a nanny and gardening staff. This is an informal, kind, and friendly household, and they are now looking for a new, integral Housekeeper who can provide support within the home and assist in its smooth running.
Duties outlined but not limited to:
- Daily housekeeping and upkeep of a beautifully presented family home
- Maintaining high standards of presentation across all rooms and surfaces
- Laundry and ironing (although some bedding is outsourced)
- Wardrobe management and organisation
- Cooking or support in kitchen if /when required – Batch cooking
- Shopping, running errands, and liaising with suppliers when needed
- Occasional support with children’s school routines (approx. twice a week if required)
- Assisting with informal family entertaining when needed
- Flexibility to work one weekend day (rota/discussed in advance)
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a private household
- Excellent attention to detail and standards of presentation
- Warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Discreet and respectful at all times
- Proactive, reliable, and highly organised
- Happy working both independently and within a family setting
- Flexibility with hours and duties as needed
