Our lovely clients, who live in the beautiful village of Bibury in the Cotswolds, are actively searching for a live-in Housekeeper/Cook. The ideal candidate will be confident in everyday cooking and happy to follow new recipes when required. The job entails preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside other housekeeping duties (mainly shopping and kitchen based). At times, you will be working in tandem in the kitchen with the employer. There is daily help to support all other housekeeping duties. Please note, there is an expectation to work at weekends.
The property itself is a 7 bedroom, 6 reception, family home, with grown up children who regularly come to visit with their families. The role will also require housesitting when needed and dog walking.
Duties include but not limited to :
- Cooking for a family (evening meals during the week) and working alongside employer and/or chef when entertaining large numbers
- Daily cleaning of the kitchen, fridges and larder etc
- Keeping stock lists and doing the weekly shop
- Errand running when required
- House sitting when family are away
- Driving licence and own car is essential
- 5 days per week, with 2 days off during the week. One weekend off a month
Salary £40,000 negotiable for the right candidate
Accommodation is a 2 bedroom cottage, about a 7 minute drive from the property.
