We are seeking a highly experienced, professional Live-In Housekeeper to take full responsibility for a newly renovated private residence in Notting Hill. The property is a six-bedroom family home with a small outdoor London garden.
The family occupies the home approximately 3–4 times per month, and the successful candidate will be entrusted with the care, presentation, and security of the property during periods of absence, ensuring it is impeccably maintained and always ready to welcome the family at short notice.
This is a role requiring discretion, initiative, and a strong sense of ownership of the property.
Duties outlined but not limited to :
- Full housekeeping of a high-end, newly renovated six-bedroom home
- Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation at all times
- Careful management of luxury finishes, surfaces, fabrics, and furnishings
- Laundry and wardrobe care, including delicate items
- Monitoring household supplies and liaising with suppliers or contractors when required
- Conducting regular checks to ensure the property remains in excellent condition during periods of vacancy

Experience liaising with contractors or managing small household projects, household repairs and maintenance as needed
Family Presence & Hospitality
- Preparing the home in advance of the family’s arrival to ensure it is warm, welcoming, and fully prepared
- Ensuring food is stocked and fridges are fully ready, so the family has everything they need on arrival
- Supporting the family during their stays, adapting to their needs as required
- Occasional hosting support when the family have friends visiting
Security & Trust
- High level of security awareness and vigilance while living on site
- Responsible for opening, securing, and monitoring the property during family absences
- Acting as a trusted presence and point of contact for the household
Garden Care
- Light gardening and upkeep of a small London garden (interest in gardening is a strong advantage)
- Ensuring the outdoor space remains tidy and well presented
Cooking (Desirable but Not Essential)
- Light family cooking when the family is in residence
- Meal preparation support if required (not a primary duty)
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a live-in housekeeper in high-end private households
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently

Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with the family, PA, and wider team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in property care
- Trustworthy, discreet, and security-aware
- Comfortable working in a home that is frequently unoccupied
- Enjoys maintaining a calm, well-run household environment
- Gardening interest preferred
- Cooking skills desirable but not essential
- Driving a bonus not essential
Location: Notting Hill, London
Accommodation: Private two-bedroom self-contained flat (adjoining the main residence)
Salary : Experience dependant £40k -£45k
