Live-in Housekeeper

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Housekeeper / House Manager to support the smooth running of a well-maintained weekend residence in the Cotswolds. This role will suit a hands-on individual with excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to settle into a long-term, live-in role in a beautiful countryside setting with a respectful and welcoming family.

Duties outlined but not limited to:

• Maintain the home to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation
• Full housekeeping duties including laundry and ironing
• Prepare the property for the owners’ weekend and school holiday visits
• Oversee and coordinate with live-out gardener and external contractors
• Light home cooking as required
• Run errands locally (driver essential – car can be provided)
• Care for family dog when owners are away
• Occasional babysitting for three children aged 10–15
• Daily care of chickens

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar private household role
• Confident managing a home with minimal supervision
• Dog-friendly and child-friendly
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Ability to liaise with suppliers and coordinate basic maintenance
• Full UK driving licence

Location: Cotswolds

Salary: £35,000 – £43,000 (dependent on experience)

Accommodation: Separate 3-bedroom cottage with garage and garden (utilities included, except Sky/TV)

Start Date: Ideally 11th August

Working Days: 5 days per week to include weekends
