We are seeking a skilled, discreet, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join a fully staffed private household. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in high-end private homes, demonstrating exceptional standards in cleanliness, organisation, and luxury garment care. This is a hands-on role requiring initiative, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping duties including daily cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and deep cleaning as required
- Meticulous care of luxury surfaces, furnishings, and finishes using appropriate products and techniques
- Full laundry service including washing, handwashing, steaming, ironing, and wardrobe management
- Expert handling of delicate fabrics and high-end garments (silk, cashmere, couture, etc.)
- Seasonal wardrobe rotation and organisation of closets and drawers to high standards
- Monitoring and replenishing household cleaning supplies and laundry products
- Care and cleaning of fine linens, including bedding and tablecloths
- Coordinating with other household staff to ensure smooth household operations
- Adhering to confidentiality, discretion, and professional boundaries at all times
- Occasional assistance with light packing/unpacking for travel if required
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a private, fully staffed household
- Demonstrated ability to manage fine clothing, designer garments, and luxury fabrics with precision
- Strong eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly reliable, discreet, and trustworthy
- Professional appearance and a calm, polished demeanour
- Flexibility to accommodate the household’s schedule and occasional changes
- Right to work and live in the UK (or relevant location)
Position Overview
- Schedule: 5 days per week
- Days Off: 2 days off on a rotational basis
- (We aim to provide at least one weekend off per month, typically two, though flexibility is appreciated.)

- Monday to Saturday: 07:00 – 17:00
- Sunday: 08:00 – 18:00
