An Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) family is seeking a discreet, professional, and experienced French speaking Domestic Couple to manage household duties within their primary residence in France, with flexibility to travel to Doha, Qatar as required.
The ideal Couple will be loyal, proactive, and able to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and home maintenance in a formal household setting. This is a long-term opportunity with excellent living conditions, working for a respectful and private family.
Role 1: Housekeeper – Full Domestic Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of one member of the couple will focus on housekeeping, laundry, and household organisation, ensuring the residence is maintained to a five-star standard.
Duties Include:
- Daily cleaning of all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, reception areas, kitchen, and corridors
- Dusting and polishing of high-end furniture, fittings, artwork, and antiques with appropriate care
- Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, polishing), including carpets and marble/wood surfaces
- Laundry and ironing, including delicate and luxury garments
- Wardrobe management – seasonal organisation, steaming, shoe care, and arranging closets
- Bed-making and linen changes with high attention to detail
- Monitoring and restocking household supplies and consumables
- Inventory and stock control of cleaning products, toiletries, pantry items, and linens
- Maintaining order and cleanliness in storage areas, closets, and utility spaces
- Liaising with external contractors or suppliers when required
- Occasional assistance with food prep or serving during family visits or events
Role 2: Houseman/Handyman – Maintenance & Household Support
The second member of the couple will focus on general household maintenance, DIY tasks, and practical support, while also assisting with housekeeping when needed.
Duties Include:
- Routine maintenance and minor repairs around the property (e.g., fixing hinges, adjusting doors, replacing bulbs, tightening fixtures)
- Basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting (e.g., leaks, fuses, drainage issues)
- Monitoring and upkeep of household systems (heating, lighting, alarms, water systems)
- General handyman and DIY projects as required
- Maintenance of exterior areas such as patios, terraces, garden furniture, and pathways
- Organising tools, equipment, and household supplies
- Assisting the housekeeper with heavier cleaning tasks (e.g., window cleaning, moving furniture, deep cleaning)
- Occasional assistance with packing/unpacking during travel or seasonal changeovers
- Assisting with logistics and errands (e.g., shopping, deliveries, airport pickups)
- Driving duties may be requested (license preferred but not required)
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Domestic Couple in a private UHNW household
- Strong spoken English and French
- High standards of cleanliness, organisation, and care
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Discreet, loyal, and professional demeanour
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally (primarily between France and Qatar)
- Trustworthy and committed to a long-term position
- Valid passports: driving license is a plus
