Domestic couple

Our clients, based in the stunning Gloucestershire countryside, are seeking an experienced Domestic Couple to oversee the daily running and upkeep of their beautifully renovated property. The home comprises 8 bedrooms, a swimming pool, various outbuildings, and extensive landscaped gardens.

This is the family’s secondary residence, and while they are not in full-time residence, the property must be kept in immaculate condition year-round. The successful couple will be hands-on, proactive, and work seamlessly with the existing household team, including an Estate Manager and Housekeepers.

Candidates with a background in luxury yachting or high-end hospitality will be well-suited to this role, bringing a high level of presentation, service, and discretion. The family is looking for a long-term placement with a trustworthy and experienced couple who take pride in their work and bring a collaborative, positive attitude.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Day-to-day housekeeping with exceptional attention to detail
• Specialist care of antiques, fine furnishings, and delicate surfaces
• Fabric care, laundry, and wardrobe management
• Front-of-house duties, including greeting guests and hosting
• Informal service and occasional silver service when required
• Light family cooking (a chef is hired for larger events)
• Household and estate management in the Principals’ absence
• Stock control and supply management
• Pool maintenance and support with outdoor care
• Basic gardening tasks (full-time gardener also employed)
• Pet care – including walking and feeding the family’s dogs
• Working in close harmony with the Estate Manager and wider team



Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar Domestic Couple role
• Background in superyachts or luxury hospitality highly desirable
• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident drivers with clean UK driving licences
• Pet-friendly and comfortable living in a rural setting
• Looking for a long-term role with a strong team-player mindset

Accommodation: Private, well-appointed apartment on the estate
