We are seeking a family cook to support a family of five with three energetic children, living a busy London lifestyle in a 6-bedroom home with a garden. You will join our household team of four (Housekeeper, part-time Housekeeper, Nanny) to manage meal planning, preparation, cooking, kitchen management, and support with childcare and housekeeping as needed., you will manage planning, ordering, preparation and cooking of all meals with fresh, quality ingredients for the family, guests and wider household team. Alongside this, you’ll be in charge of keeping the kitchen and pantry clean, tidy and well stocked and have the skills, experience and willingness to be flexible in providing childcare support as well and housekeeping support if there are team absences.
Duties Outlined not limited to :
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals daily for the family and household team, including healthy snacks and weekly treats.
- Menu planning, shopping, and sourcing fresh ingredients, considering allergies/intolerances.
- Serve and clear meals, maintain kitchen hygiene, stock, and appliance cleanliness.
- Occasionally prepare meals for guests or dinner parties.
- Prepare fresh fruits & vegetable crudites
- Liaise with the family to menu plan, prepare shopping lists and make food orders, sourcing
- fresh, quality ingredients (both online and local produce
- Cover gaps in the Nanny rota, including school runs, playdates, bedtime routines, and ad hoc babysitting.
- Ensure children’s safety, wellbeing, and engagement in daily activities.
- Assist with childcare during family travel.
- Support with laundry and household tasks when the team is absent.
- Assist with packing, travel logistics, and tasks before and after trips abroad.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and household safety.
- Follow home security procedures, including alarms and guest protocols.
Travel
- As and when required, accompany the family on trips overseas
- Assist with any preparation in advance of the trip such as packing
- Ensure your passport and other travel related documents are valid prior to the departure

- Assist with childcare and babysitting duties and other errands as and when required for the
- duration of the trip
- Assist with any tasks after family return from travelling such as unpacking
