Chef/3 month contract

We are seeking an experienced Private Chef to support an international family based in their luxury Mayfair residence.

The household follows a predominantly vegetarian diet, with a strong preference for Indian cuisine, alongside variety across Chinese, Japanese, and Italian dishes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys creating refined, flavour-led, health-conscious menus, whilst adapting to the preferences of a well-travelled family.

You will be supported by a housekeeper and a PA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering daily meals tailored to the family’s preferences
  • Creating predominantly vegetarian menus, with a focus on authentic Indian cuisine
  • Preparing a variety of international dishes (Chinese, Japanese, Italian) to a high standard
  • Managing kitchen operations, including sourcing high-quality ingredients
  • Overseeing and supporting a junior cook
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene, organisation, and presentation
  • Adapting menus based on feedback, preferences, and any dietary requirements
  • Coordinating with the PA and Housekeeper to ensure seamless household service

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Private Chef or Senior Chef within private households or high-end hospitality
  • Strong background in Indian cuisine (essential)
  • Confident across vegetarian and plant-forward cooking
  • Ability to deliver a range of international cuisines (Chinese, Japanese, Italian)
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior kitchen staff
  • Highly organised, discreet, and adaptable
  • Calm, professional approach within a private household environment
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
