2023 has been a successful year for Shire & Wold. We opened our Bicester office and expanded the team from one to three. Annalisa joined in January and by September she was working full time as a consultant taking the lead on all housekeeper searches. Chloe started as a content Creator apprentice and will be managing all social platforms, marketing, and communications.
We’ve attended some fabulous events, such as the Mayfair Charity Ball, raising money for The Change Foundation.
We’ve expanded into the luxury hospitality sector, supporting recruitment for top-tier hotel groups, luxury accommodation, event venues, restaurants, and private members clubs. In the past year, we’ve placed over 50 candidates in new roles. Committed to social responsibility, we’ve partnered with local and anti-slavery charities, donating our time and resources. We’re also starting our journey as a B-Corporation, emphasising our dedication to positive global impact.
We’re thrilled to announce that a new consultant will be joining our team in January – stay tuned for the introduction! As part of our commitment to sustainability, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint by using electric vehicles for client and candidate visits and continuing to offer video calls for meetings when suitable. We’re also enhancing our due diligence processes by partnering with a reference checking company to ensure the validity of references.
Excitingly, we’re planning job fairs across the UK, with more details about locations and dates to be released early in the new year. Our goal is to achieve B-Corporation certification, reflecting our commitment to social and environmental performance. Additionally, we’re focusing on making a greater impact on our chosen charities and continuing to expand our luxury hospitality desk.
We are dedicated to working with clients on retention and upskill training programmes. Furthermore, we remain committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality in our recruitment processes and aim to educate others on these important values as we progress.
