We are on the hunt for a diligent and hard-working Housekeeper to
join a large secondary residence for a UHNW family in Chelsea,
London.
This candidate needs to be highly experienced working in UHNW
households, as the client has extremely high standards when it
comes to housekeeping and the presentation of their home. It is
imperative that the housekeeper understands how to maintain these
standards on a consistent basis.
The Assistant Housekeeper will be working closely alongside the
Head Housekeeper, and will report directly to them. It is
important that the Assistant Housekeeper works well within a team
and is able to take direction from the Head Housekeeper and of
course the Principal and their family. Due to the nature of the
client, the candidate will need to be very discrete and
appreciative of their privacy.
The candidate must be at ease in both formal environments when
guests are around as well as more informal private family
moments.
Duties include but not limited to:
• All cleaning, polishing, dusting and vacuuming
• Overseeing household stock and reporting to the Head
Housekeeper
• Working closely with all household team members to ensure the
smooth running of the household
• Uphold strict confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of
the role, respecting the privacy and security concerns of the
family
• Report issues to the Head Housekeeper, ensuring constant
communication
• All laundry care, including experience looking after high-end
luxury garments and clothing
• Changing linen and making beds as per the schedule of the home
• Pet care and dog sitting
• Cleaning the pool area and raising maintenance issues to the
Head Housekeeper
• Packing and unpacking for the principals
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with
exceptional organisational abilities and is able to think on
their feet in a dynamic household. The family plans do change
within a moment’s notice, so every day won’t be the same. Whilst
you will need to be able to take direction, the housekeeper will
need to be experienced enough to take initiative and be proactive
in their duties.
