An Isle of Man based client is looking for an experienced
Hands-on Head Private Housekeeper for their home. The estate comprises of
a principle residence surrounded by land, gardens, tennis courts,
fields and paddocks. They are school aged children who will be in
residence at weekends and school holidays. There are also large
dogs so the housekeeper must be comfortable with dogs. They
currently have full time gardeners and part time cleaners and are
looking for an experienced housekeeper to join their team and
manage the house to a 6* Hotel Standard.
Job Description
Housekeeping
• Running, maintaining and presenting the house to a
high standard.
• Laundry and wardrobe management
• Preparation of guest bedrooms
• Housekeeping to a high standard
• Management and organisation of the housekeeping team
• Laying of table
• Meeting and greeting of guest and serving drinks and
snacks if required
Organisation and Inventory Management:
* Organise furniture, decor, and household amenities to estate
standards.
* Manage and restock cleaning supplies and household essentials.
* Coordinate procurement of necessary supplies and equipment.
* Keep storage areas, closets, and utility rooms organised.
* General shopping tasks.
Hospitality Support:
* Meeting and Greeting guests
* Work with other estate staff to ensure smooth hospitality
services.
* Assist with event setup and breakdown on the estate as
required.
* Maintain a professional and welcoming attitude toward visitors
and guests.
* Uphold confidentiality and respect residents’ and guests’
privacy.
* Provide occasional driving as required.
* Assist residents and guests with special housekeeping requests.
* Cooking family style food when requested. Both principles cook
so sometime will just be meal prep and cooking isn’t a deal
breaker but would be a welcome extra
Candidate Requirements
You must be an experienced Housekeeper or head housekeeper that
can run and manage a home with little direction. It is essential
that you have worked a similar role and you must have a driving
licence. You will need to be child friendly and have and a full
set of checkable references. You must enjoy living in a rural
setting. You will need a UK or EU passport and the client will
apply for a work permit for you.
Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary
• You will be provided with an extremely well
appointed and newly decorated 2-bedroom apartment on the estate
with all bills included. (sorry not suitable for partners or
dependent)
• A pet will be considered on a case by cases
basis, if you have a dog, it is essential that they get on well
with other dogs.
• £40-50K negotiable dependent on experience,
references and skillset.
• 5 day working week. With some weekends off but
otherwise Tue/Wed off
