Live- In Housekeeper/ cook

Our lovely clients are a family of four living in a 120 acre
country estate in the Cotswolds near Moreton-in-Marsh are looking
for a long-term child friendly housekeeper / cook to join their
family home. This is a live-in role. The family have boy / girl
twins aged 10. Mum is from South America and speaks Spanish to
the children. They currently have a lovely Spanish speaking
live-in nanny who has been part of the family since 2021 but she
has advised that she's moving with her partner overseas in
October. They are very sad to see her go.

The family also have another wonderful live-in Spanish speaking
housekeeper that works Monday to Friday so this role is to
overlap / work as a team with her on Thursdays, Fridays and
Mondays. All the duties described here are currently performed by
their existing housekeeper so it is of utmost importance that the
new hire is a team player and shares the same positive attitude
and attention to detail as the other lady. They have two friendly
dogs so you should be pet friendly.

The property to look after is a Manor house currently under
renovation (completion date is October). This Manor house is a
beautiful 6 bedroom property (principal bedroom, a bedroom for
each child and 3 guest bedrooms) plus a 2 bedroom staff apartment
in the East wing of the house (each with their ensuite bathroom).

Duties outlines but not limited too :

* You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be
able to work alongside the other housekeeper as a team in order
to care for the home to a high standard. You should be skilled
with cleaning and also have a very good eye for detail. The
family-run an informal household, however, the parents expect a
professional attitude and presentation. The parents want to rely
on you and on the other housekeeper to manage the household and
make sure it is cared for to a high standard.

* You and the other housekeeper will be responsible for the daily
and deep cleaning of the household and ensure it is always tidy
and presentable. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms, organising and
cleaning the kitchen, and generally keeping all areas of the
house clean and organised.

* You would be happy to prepare a simple breakfast, lunch &
dinner (family style).

* You should be happy to help with the children in the mornings
and evenings, and this role requires a good degree of
flexibility. They want someone trustworthy, loyal and warm with
the children.

* You should be happy to run errands such as trips to the post
office, dry cleaner and the supermarket. You should be generally
willing to muck into family life. If you are open to travelling
with the family they would sometimes ask you to come with them
but if you prefer not to travel with the family this is also
fine.

* They are keen to find someone with a great attitude, who can
work as a team with their Spanish speaking housekeeper and
wanting to stay in a long-term role, to give the family the
flexibility and care required. A down-to-earth family, they enjoy
looking after the staff who work for them.

flexible with one weekend off a month if required.
