We are actively searching for a Butler/Houseman for an
established client of ours based with a large residence near
Cirencester. The Butler will be joining an existing household
team and will support the team as a whole on the day to day
duties and responsibilities within the household. This is an
informal country residence, however, there will occasions where
the clients will host more formally and the team will all need to
adapt and be comfortable with this.
The current Butler will be leaving at the end of November, so
ideally the replacement will be able to start before and have a
handover. Must have experience working within a similar
environment in similar role.
Duties outlined but not limited to:
* Informal and formal service
* Laying fires and lighting
* Setting up rooms, laying tables for informal and formal dining
* Hosting guests
* Supporting the Estate Manager and House Manager with the
running of the interior
* Keeping the wine inventory
* Serving wine- wine knowledge desirable
* General houseman/person duties
Must have prior experience. Position is live -out, however if you
are searching for live-in, there may be some flexibility.
Driver with own car essential.
Hours: 5 days a week, Sunday and Monday off currently with
flexibility at busier periods such as Christmas.
Salary: £38,000-£45,000 gross per annum
